Once the procedure is done you can go home. It is possible that you will have some swelling, bruising, and redness. The bruising and swelling as well as the other side effects usually improve after 48 to 72 hours.
It is important that you follow post-treatment guidelines:
- No makeup
- No smoking for at least 4 hours after and no alcohol for that day
- Avoid sleeping face down
- Avoid intense activity or exercise for 48 hours
- No sauna, solarium, and excess sun exposure for 1 week
- No facial massage/cosmetic or dental treatments for at least 2 weeks after
