Face slimming is a treatment that visibly narrows the face by injecting the masseter muscles with muscle relaxants. The masseter muscle is a large facial muscle located at behind the jaw that aids us in eating. The treatment works to reduce the contraction of the jaw muscle, preventing it from clenching and bulging, reducing volume in the lower jaw area and creating a narrower shape.
The treatment is not only beneficial for those who want to slim their face, but can also help alleviate certain medical conditions such as bruxism (overactive masseter muscle due to grinding of the teeth) and migraines.
Jawline slimming treatment takes about 30 minutes. After a quick consultation to determine that you are a good candidate, our M1 doctor will inject muscle relaxants into the muscle through the skin. With this, the muscle will no longer contract, preventing the masseter muscle from bulging.
The effects from non-surgical jaw reduction are not immediately visible, as it takes a few days for the muscle relaxants to take effect. The effects typically last between 3 and 4 months after which the relaxant will begin to fade.

In order for the material to take effect where desired, you should keep your head in an upright position for 4 hours after treatment. We recommend to avoid any sportive activities for 48 hours.
